Impact is a bible-based youth group and meets to learn more about who Jesus is and what he's got to do with us.  There's a chance to play games, have a lot of fun, and think about the big questions of life.  From time to time we have a social and do something completely different.

Y kicks off with an informal meal together - good simple nosh in high quantities!  After that we have a look at the Bible together - a chance to think about some of the big questions in life.  We finish with a game or two.

Impact is led by Rosie, Graeme Laura and Sam.

"Squeals" meets on Thursday mornings (in term-time) from 9.15 to 11.15 a.m. in St Mary's Church, Sileby and is for babies and toddlers along with their parent, grandparent or carer.  There are a variety of toys and activities for the children to play with.  Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are also available giving an opportunity to chat and socialise.  At the end of the morning, after packing up the toys, there is time to have a sing-song together and to share any notices and birthdays.

There is a charge of 50p per family to cover costs.

For further information, please contact Lynette Brown  Tel.  0784 0574296  or Rosie Hopkins  Tel.  01509 812493.

A recent visitor posted this comment on the netmums website:

"Brilliant group, very friendly and everyone is very welcoming.  Lots of toys for all ages, craft activity for older ones and a separate play area for the babies.
I can't recommend this group enough."

This group meets (on Wednesdays) in term-time and throughout most of the school holidays from 9.45 to 11.30 a.m. in All Saints' Church, Seagrave.  It is for babies and any pre-school children along with their parent, grandparent or carer.  It was started so that children and their parents could get to know each other before starting school; now people come along from surrounding villages as well as from Seagrave.  There is a theme for each week based on a verse from the Bible; a short talk, singing, craft and refreshments are included.  The programme is planned by Hilary Ayling of SOaR (Schools, Outreach and Resources) who sometimes comes along to lead the session.

Wednesday Club was highlighted by the judges of "Calor Village of the Year 2008"  competition when selecting Seagrave as Winner in the "People"  category.

One mum comments:

"I avoid sending my daughter to playschool on Wednesdays so that we can come along to Wednesday Club."
